Peace is something people like to say they want, but in the end they really don't try to make it a reality. People always say "peace is the answer", but do they really try to get there? Most people think that peace is only something in fairy tales, only something that is a fantasy. I believe that peace is real. Peace really is the answer. Peace can become a reality if we all try to strive for it and not just talk about it. I think the word "peace" has become more meaningless through the years. People put up there hands in peace signs, but do they really think about peace when they do it? Most likely not. Peace seems like an impossibility but if we really work hard enough we could get to that reality, that fantasy, that fairytale. We could live in a state that is calm and relaxed and just plain peaceful. If we just try everyday to say something nice to our enemies, to console someone you don't know really well, and just be kind and caring, we might just find that peace we always talk about.

Music
I always feel that music can heal almost anything. It is a very soothing entity. When you listen to music it almost feels as if you are nourishing your soul. Music can also really affect your mood, it can inspire you, it can make you sad, it can make you happy, it can calm you, and it can make you angry. It really depends on the music you are listening to and the way that you are already feeling. For me, when I am sad or angry I usually listen to music so that I can escape the sometimes harsh realities of this world. It seems to help me, but maybe it is more of a placebo affect. You think it is helping so it helps you. In the end whether it is only helping you because you think it is or it really is doing something that makes you feel better it helps no matter what. Maybe it does not do the same for everyone, but it sure has always helped me when I have needed it most.

Today
Today is December 30 as you all probably know. It is the second to last day of the year 2008. 2009 will be the beginning of a new and fresh year. 2009 has not been touched with any experiences yet, it is a time to change anything you didn't like in the previous year and start with a blank slate. You can change your whole world around, become a different person, change your destiny and make new endeavors. This is the time to be thinking about what you want to become in this upcoming year. It is the time to remember your fond memories of 2008 and relish in the thought of having no mistakes in this new year. Just think, 2009 is not even here yet, you have time to think about what you want to change about your life and then make those changes when the time comes. You can become the person you always wanted to be. Picture this new year as a piece of blank paper ready to be written on. Yes, there will be some mistakes, but that's okay because there is always a new year to change again and absolve the mistakes you have made. Don't be scared of your mistakes, mistakes are what make you who you are. Don't regret the mistakes, just work hard and diligently to change them.

The Beginning
I am making this blog just for fun. I am assuming not many people are going to read this but if it becomes popular that would be interesting. If I want people to get anything out of this it would be just for people to have fun reading my thoughts and it would make them happy.
